Rich and moist on top, with some small nut fragments included, possibly almond?
Quite enjoyable, but a little one-note on its own. A dark chocolate dusting along with what tasted like blended chocolate biscuits did much to enliven it.
Presentation was a little overeager with a chocolate drizzle, although acceptable given this was the final dish at an academic conference dinner, and so some pretentiousness is to be expected. Ice cream was lackluster and a little too warm, but didn’t overly detract.
6 out of 10; more enjoyable than not, but not award winning.
